Appointments

How to make an appointment:

SBUHB operates the telephone first model. To arrange to speak to a Doctor please use the AskMyGP link below .  AskmyGP is a quicker and easier way to contact the practice.

Administrators are available between 8AM and 12PM to take calls Monday to Friday. Patients are asked to contact the practice between these times, to request a telephone consultation.

If a face-to-face appointment is required, the GP will allocate an appointment for the morning or afternoon session up to 5pm for routine slots and later slots are available for workers until 5.30pm on both sites. Patients who require a later slot need to request this when speaking to a GP.   All calls received after 12pm will be for urgent care only. Pre bookable appointments are available, please discuss this with the GP during your triage call.

You will be asked by our receptionists for a very brief description of your symptoms  a contact number and an email address on which the clinician can call or message you back. The discussion with the receptionist can also help establish your preferences and choices available to you for example a named clinician or call back times.

This information will then be add to AskmyGP and allocated to an appropriate clinician working that day.

Children under 16 will be offered a same day appointment for acute illnesses.
